Introduction
4-Season Dip is a hybrid of 2-Season Dip and 5-Season Dip where where the game is played in 4 seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. Autumn retreats and Winter adjustments are combined into one phase to reduce the delays incurred by the extra minor phase, yet not requiring players to plan their retreats or builds in advance of seeing the results of their major season orders.
The Diplomaticcorp Winter Blitz was played using 4-Season Dip.
Players submitting Winter orders are expected to submit Fall retreats, and any possible adjustments (builds or removals) that might need to be ordered. One might need to submit builds conditional upon retreats, especially in the case where a player may retreat into a supply center, thereby changing the center-counts.
